Satisfaction for David Ragan - Nascar

After the catastrophic failure at the Daytona 500, David Ragan was able to rehabilitate the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Series at Daytona successfully. First race win for the Ford driver.

After a turbulent start of the race and several long stints under green it was at the end of the race at the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway once again pretty wild. From lap 48 until lap 157 the race went off without any incident. But three laps before the finish happened, what needed to happen. Jeff Gordon spun in the middle of the curve and thus saw again for tension, because the field was through the long green phase for Daytona ratios already stretched far.

At this point, Ryan Newman and Denny Hamlin were together in front. But the two had to be at the next restart on lap 162 just with David Ragan and Matt Kenseth, two teammates deal of Roush Fenway Racing. Kenseth sat down right after the restart and put this behind Ragan still in lead at Turn 1. Just at that moment it crashed a second time but were now equal to 11 vehicles involved in an accident. Joey Logano Mark Martin and came together in turn 2 and sparked chaos. While Logano could continue, Martin turned and tore approximately two dozen other cars in the ruin.

The race, which was usually scheduled for a distance of 160 laps, went into the second extension. At the top were now Ragan and Kenseth, who again found time in the role of the hunted and put back to the attacks by Newman and Hamlin had. This was achieved initially. Ryan Newman and Denny Hamlin were passed after a short while back and appeared at the top and Joey Logano Kasey Kahne. Directly behind Ragan and Kenseth went into the final round. Ironically, David Ragan, who made the Daytona 500 in the spring, a crucial mistake at the penultimate restart and took itself a possible win, led the field towards the finish line. And did the 25-year-old sovereign. No one could intervene more in the midfield and while it at the last corner and also on the home straight again vigorously rattled, David Ragan has secured its first win in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

After 162 races without a win in the Cup and only two race wins in the Nationwide Series driver of the Roush was finally able to turn into Victory Lane. His original partner Drafting and Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne had already highlighted the way as the first sail. Bayne has been reversed in the early stages of Brad Keselowski and damaged his car severely. Even David Ragan, Carl Edwards had to teammate after a spin in the first quarter is already racing up early every victory hopes. Edwards also lost the lead in the standings to Kevin Harvick, who was in front of Paul Menard Juan Pablo Montoya and seventh.
