There, the castaways must quickly realize that they are not alone. The magician Prospero (Bernd Tauber), once fled with his daughter Mirakula (Milica Jovanovic) on the planet, is the absolute ruler of this strange world, which he guarded with his air spirit Ariel. And this Ariel, a golden statue come to life of the Great Garden Hanover, appears in Sebastian Strehler's staging as airy and full of vitality, that it is quickly becoming the star of the planetary ensembles.
The music was similar in many passages of a film soundtrack composer Heiner Lürig explained, and actually sounds like the sound of the seven-piece orchestra in some moments after major Hollywood movies, while other songs are composed but a bit simple. The sometimes violent, not only musical breaks within the staging but were wanted, explained director Christian von Götz. He was aware that this production, the variety of genres and game types and the whole stripe in the truest sense of the word is not completely waterproof. The set design (Michael Goden) has its effect only with increasing twilight. If the perspective shine in the garden backdrop integrated alien plants in different light moods, is something like "a mystery" to the game that Kunze wants so much for his theater work.
Only these moments are too often interrupted by flat comedy scenes, which have only to Shakespeare's enigmatic work to do still very rudimentary. Is this really show how Prospero sung, "the stuff of which dreams are made"? It was probably more a matter of realizing in Hanover, another "Midsummer Night's Dream" to a "summer fairytale".
