New York (AFP) - (AFP) - NBA boss David Stern thanked the fans of professional basketball league. Nearly two and a half weeks before the start of the shortened season, the Commissioner wrote an open letter to NBA fans: "On behalf of the NBA family, I would like to thank you for the patience and support over the past few months." The months-long dispute over the new collective agreement at the end have led to a good outcome for all parties. "We believe that benefit from the agreement, the clubs, players and especially the fans because the NBA will be stronger," said Stern.
On Friday, the opening Traingscamps the clubs, the season will begin on 25December. Dirk Nowitzki is being launched with defending champion Dallas Mavericks at Miami Heat opener against final opponents. Previously, players and clubs must still approve the new collective agreement.
